Marks in time
Over time we leave our mark on the world, whether conscious or not, creating moments of abstract beauty. These traces are often overlooked as we go about our daily lives. In my work, I wanted to stop and take note of these focusing on:
- The deliberate: man made road markings.
- The accidental: marks made by us over time and wear.
- The natural: how nature and time work together.
By looking at these three aspects, I hope to expose the natural abstract beauty that surrounds us daily and try to make others reflect on these too.

Seascapes
In this body of work I have used the cyanotype medium to create seascapes which offers a unique and captivating way to represent the essence of the ocean's elegance.
The beauty of cyanotype for representing the sea lies in its ability to convey the fluidity and movement of water. The process lends itself to creating dynamic, abstract interpretations of the sea's vastness or the gentle rhythm of waves crashing against the shore. The deep blue tones and the subtle gradations within the cyanotype prints can evoke a sense of calm or the powerful, ever-changing nature of the sea.
